RSPO

The RSPO (Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil) certification is an international standard that guarantees that palm oil is produced sustainably, considering environmental and social criteria.

It aims to ensure that palm oil is produced under standards that include:

  1. Forest protection: avoiding deforestation and preserving areas of high conservation value, including biodiversity and ecosystems.
  2. Respect for community rights: Ensuring the free, prior and informed consent of local communities before land conversion occurs.
  3. Fair labor practices: Ensuring fair working conditions and preventing worker exploitation, including salary and workplace health and safety aspects.
  4. Reducing environmental impacts: Minimizing pollution and greenhouse gas emissions, and promoting more sustainable agricultural practices.
  5. Traceability and transparency: Ensuring that palm oil-derived products can be traced throughout the entire supply chain.
